The 20th Annual Thunderbird Intertribal Pow-Wow is once again being presented by Eglin Air Force Base and the Thunderbird Intertribal Council at the Mullet Festival Grounds.
The 20th Annual Thunderbird Intertribal Pow-Wow is once again being presented by Eglin Air Force Base and the Thunderbird Intertribal Council (a 501 c 3 non-profit Organization). This event will be held at the Mullet Festival Grounds in Niceville, FL on November 2 - 4, 2007. The first day of the event features Children’s Day from 9am to 2pm. All area school children are invited to participate with hands-on demonstrations by the Indian Temple Mound, Jackson Guard, Petting Zoo, and the Eglin Archaelogical Office, just to name a few. The entire event will feature Native American dancers, drummers, and craft demonstration. In the past, over 10,000 people attended this 3-day Pow-Wow. This is a wonderful event aimed at educating the local community about Native Americans and their role in the past and in modern day.
The main Pow-Wow starts at 7pm on Friday, again on Saturday 9am to 10pm, and Sunday from 10am until 4pm. Dancers from all over the country will compete Saturday night for prize money!
This is an alcohol free event for the entire family with Native American vendors, dancers, food, singing, entertainment. Sponsorships are available and greatly appreciated. Volunteers are needed to set up, help during the event and post event clean up.
Sincerely,
